Experience state-of-the-art puppetry, stunning light installations, and a colourful prehistoric world full of exciting interactive moments created by renowned creative studios Erth and A Blanck Canvas.
Roar into a new era where dinosaurs roam wild around every corner. Prepare to travel back in time with Universal Kingdom: The Next Era, the next instalment in the thrilling dino adventures taking over Adelaide Zoo after dark.
Brought to you by Adelaide Zoo and Illuminate Adelaide with presenting partner SA Power Networks, meet your favourite prehistoric giants like the mighty three-horned Triceratops and soaring Pterodactyl.
All New Installations
Pat baby dinos, race lightning-fast raptors, unearth ancient fossils in the dedicated kid’s zone, and feel the earth shake under the feet of the towering Tyrannosaurus Rex!
Hearty Winter Warmers
Stay warm and cosy with a delicious selection of snacks, meals, desserts and refreshments. Whether you’re after a light bite or a belly warmer, indulge from a range of food stations and bars around the site.
Dino Merch
For the dinosaur lovers, drop by the Zoo Shop for toys, collectables, games and merchandise to continue the prehistoric fun at home. The Zoo Shop will be open every event night for all your animal-inspired gifts, apparel and homewares with proceeds supporting conservation.

Relaxed sessions | Sunday 13 and 20 July 2025
Zoos SA is committed to providing a welcoming and accessible environment.
Relaxed session includes; an earlier twilight start time, reduced capacity, lowered volume on installations and reduced human noises. Visitors attending the Relaxed sessions are welcome to stay and explore for the evening but should be aware that the 6.30pm sessions will be at standard event capacity.
