Horizons is a spectacular new drone and light event coming to Adelaide Oval on 18 July 2025.
In an Australian first and for one-night only, Illuminate Adelaide transforms Adelaide Oval into a living, breathing canvas using light, sound, and sky to celebrate our place, our people and our bright future.
On the banks of Karrawirra Parri featuring the aerial capabilities of hundreds of illuminated drones together with state-of-the-art lighting, audio and screen technology, Horizons promises a multi-sensory experience of epic proportions. Spanning 60,000 years of history told through the course of a single day, journey from dawn to dusk through the stories of South Australia’s past, present and future.
From the deep connection to Karrawirra Parri as an important meeting place for the Kaurna People, through recent history bringing people together on the same riverbank to witness the prowess of our elite sporting legends, to celebrating the importance of human connection into our future frontiers, Horizons will interweave it all in this breath-taking aerial symphony.
