More cheetahs will soon be making their way to the Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh. The South African government signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the translocation of 12 cheetahs on Wednesday, with the big cats slated to arrive by February-March. With this, the total number of cheetahs in India will rise to 20. Eight cheetahs from Namibia were released into the park in September last year as part of an ambitious project to revive India’s extinct population. Every year for at least the past three decades, four teachers have been named finalists for the National Teacher of the Year. But this year, five teachers have been deemed worthy of the honor. The Council of Chief State Schools Officers announced on Wednesday the finalists for the national award, which honors teachers for their work inside and outside the classroom. Civil Resolution Tribunal documents show that Sarah Pivnick attempted to claim $350 in costs, alleging breach of contract against Planet Lazer Entertainment, which owns arcades in Richmond, Langley, Kelowna and elsewhere.
