Go along for a delightful afternoon of live music at Strings in the Square—a FREE outdoor event celebrating the beauty of string music in the heart of North Adelaide.
Attendees can immerse themselves in a captivating blend of classical and contemporary string performances, perfect for music lovers, local residents, and students alike. Experience ‘Bridgerton-style’ pop covers, timeless classical masterpieces from legends like Haydn and Beethoven, and mesmerising ambient soundscapes that fuse traditional strings with sleek electro-acoustic elements.
There will also be local food and drinks available for purchase. Attendees are encouraged to take along their own picnic rug.
Live Performance Lineup:
Curated by the acclaimed Leah Zweck and performed by some of Adelaide’s most esteemed and dynamic musicians, this event promises a captivating musical experience.
Performance 1: Traditional Classical Trio – Begin the evening with a breathtaking selection of classical masterpieces performed by professionally trained musicians. Expect timeless compositions from legends like Haydn and Beethoven, perfectly suited to the beauty of the Park Lands.
Performance 2: Pop Covers ‘Bridgerton Style’ – Enjoy an exciting twist on modern and retro pop hits, reimagined with a classical touch.
Performance 3: Atmospheric Classical Duo – As the evening winds down, immerse yourself in a stunning, ambient soundscape blending traditional strings with slick electro-acoustic elements.
With over 25 years of performance and classical event curation experience, Adelaide-based Leah Zweck has graced stages across Australia and Europe, performing with the Sydney, Queensland, and Munich Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra. Leah has also recorded, toured, and collaborated with renowned artists such as Josh Groban, Delta Goodrem, Lana Del Rey, Harry Connick Jr, Paul Kelly, Missy Higgins, and Michael Bublé.
