Gabon voters approved a new constitution with 91% backing in Saturday’s referendum, Interior Minister Hermann Immongault announced. Turnout was 53.5%. The constitutional overhaul follows a 2023 military coup. Final results await confirmation by the Constitutional Court, Immongault said via state TV.
