School Holiday Nutrition Workshops for Kids.
Do you want to up skill your children with important life skills and knowledge around the importance of nutrition?
Brooke Hines from Puzzle Performance is running nutrition workshops in the October school holidays for junior athletes and their families. Brooke is an accredited practicing dietitian and sports dietitian and as a long-standing athlete, she has participated in various sports, including basketball, netball, cricket, and distance running, competing at both state and national levels.
Through her work with athletes and a rural sports academy, Brooke has witnessed the profound impact which nutrition education can have on young individuals. She is passionate about continuing to provide opportunities for the younger generation to learn about nutrition, with the goal of helping them succeed both on and off the court, and to lead healthy lives.
SESSIONS:
- Tuesday 1 & Tuesday 8 October 2024
- 9am – 10:30am | Move Mind and Muscle Session
- 11am – 12:30am | Nutrition for Sports Performance
Move Mind and Muscle Session:
Understand the role of food, and you’ll unlock endless possibilities! Knowing which foods boost your energy, aid in recovery, and support brain health can significantly enhance your success.
Nutrition for Sports Performance:
Recognising the significance of sports nutrition and the impact of proper fuelling before, during, and after training and competitions can unlock your potential and ensure you reach the start line healthy and strong.
Cost: $40 dollars per student/session and $10 for parents/coaches to attend.
