The desperate search for survivors of a landslide in southern Ethiopia continued on Tuesday. At least 229 people have been killed, swept away in its path on Monday. Also, in the wake of over six weeks of anti-government protests in Kenya, scores of people are arrested in neighbouring Uganda as police cracked down on young people who defied a ban and marched against state corruption.
