Celebrate New Year’s Eve in Adelaide at Elder Park!
The City of Adelaide’s premier Riverbank event returns to Elder Park after a four year absence with a huge New Year’s Eve free, family friendly event.
With a jam-packed program of live music, entertainment, food trucks and two spectacular fireworks displays, it’s guaranteed to be the biggest party in town! A crowd of around 80,000 is expected to gather on the banks of the Karrawirra Parri/River Torrens to say goodbye to 2023 and welcome in the new year.
In addition to the return of a free community event at Elder Park and with a city council budget of $650,000, there will also be New Year’s Eve events at 8 other locations around the city, including Rundle Street, Pirie Street, Waymouth Street, Hutt Street and North Adelaide (more details to come).
Fireworks at 9pm and Midnight
The first fireworks display will hit the sky just after sundown at the family friendly time of 9pm – perfect for little party-goers, followed by the the final spectacular show at midnight with a countdown into the new year.
Elder Park’s historic Rotunda will be bathed in light, providing a stunning platform for this year’s exciting local music and dance performances.
