The Children’s Book Review
What to Expect: Love, adventure, curiosity, identity, and diversity.
There are so many things to love about being you! You can love what you look like, like your hair, your eyes, or the colors you wear. You can love the things you do, from singing and making music to hobbies like stargazing, bike riding, or hiking. You can love how you feel in different situations, whether wet in the rain, hot in the sunshine, or tossed about by the wind. And you can love yourself no matter what is happening around you, from adventures to playing in the park or just enjoying the small things in life. Being you is all about being happy!
I Love Everything About Me is an upbeat, vibrant picture book. The super simple rhyming text makes this volume’s uplifting message about identity, diversity, and joy easy for even beginner readers to take in, as well as gives it a punchy rhythm that’s fun to read aloud. Readers will surely fall in love with the unnamed main character’s indomitable spirit of adventure and celebration. Paige Mason underscores the buoyant vibe with artwork that blends soft watercolors and dynamic lines, filling the main character with personality and the story with movement.
I Love Everything About Me is a joyful, body-positive celebration of identity, uniqueness, and self-discovery.

About the Illustrator
“Storytelling, adolescence, and imagination is what can be found in my work; simple drawings that children gravitate to, but also illustrations that evoke a sense of nostalgia for adults both old and young.”—Paige Mason
