Lights at Mawson is back for 2025, lighting up the Mawson Lakes main lake area across three unforgettable nights this winter.
Enjoy a free, family-friendly evening as Lights at Mawson transforms the Mawson Lakes main lake area into a vibrant night-time destination featuring colour, creativity, and community in one of the city’s most picturesque locations.
Wander along the lakeside and explore a series of glowing, immersive light installations designed to delight visitors of all ages. Whether you’re looking to enjoy a relaxing stroll with the family or catch up with friends over dinner and a walk, Lights at Mawson is the perfect way to spend a winter evening close to home.
What’s On:
This year’s event will feature a stunning display of illuminated sculptures, live acoustic music and interactive elements that create a calm yet captivating atmosphere. The lake itself will also become part of the show, with a spectacular new on-water installation set to surprise and delight.
With local cafes and restaurants open late each night, it’s easy to turn your visit into a full evening out.
Lights at Mawson is set to be a relaxed and welcoming winter event for all ages, right here in your own backyard. Take the family, enjoy a stroll, and enjoy an evening of light and atmosphere.
Please note, the inflatable sculptures have been lovingly and skilfully handmade by artist Evelyn Roth. Please admire and enjoy, but do not touch the sculptures.
Getting There:
Mawson Lakes is easily accessible via public transport, with the Mawson Lakes train station just a short walk from the lake. Limited on-street parking is also available nearby. For more information on public transport, visit Adelaide Metro online.
