The Moonta Bay Holiday Park has a range of accommodation options and is in close proximity to family friendly attractions in a beautiful seaside location.
Review by Adaire Prosser
Moonta Bay is a beautiful family friendly beach located approximately 2 hours from Adelaide. It is wonderful to visit on a day trip, but with so much to see and do with the family, you could easily spend a few nights at the holiday park. Located right on the bay, and a short walk from the jetty and splash park, there are a range of accommodation options to suit all seasons and family requirements.
We stayed during the April school holidays in 2025, and opted for a beach front powered site for our campervan. The weather really showed up for us during our stay and we were spoilt with the sights and sounds of the beautiful bay with such close proximity to the beach. All beach front sites come with a mat to help keep dirt out of your van.
If a tent or cabin is more your style, there are grassy sites available on top of the hill that are a short walk from the beach access. There are also spaces for caravans here if you are expecting cooler or windy weather. Or if you just prefer grassy sites for the little ones to run and play on.
The holiday park has well-maintained amenities across the site. There are bbq facilities available as well as a fully enclosed camp kitchen with stoves, a fridge, toasters, kettles and microwaves.
For the kids, the indoor camp kitchen has TV facilities, an air hockey table and arcade machines. There is a shaded jumping pillow, large lawn games and a popular playground on site. An ice-cream van also made the rounds daily, but I cannot say whether this is a year-round feature or not.
In addition to all these amazing features, the holiday park is walking distance from the Moonta Bay Splash Park, Jetty and netted swimming area. It is a short drive to the historic town centre and lots of other amazing beaches and attractions.
