Gather at the Market – Before the Games! Fresh food and fun at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market in Wayville.
Before the footy action kicks off, ‘Gather Round’ at the Adelaide Showground Farmers’ Market for a morning filled with fresh local food, fun, and footy spirit! Enjoy breakfast & coffee before the game, stock up on supplies for your footy feast and meet SA farmers and producers while you shop for the freshest seasonal produce.
The morning will also include free live music and entertainment to set the game-day mood and kids’ activities for the little fans.
STALLHOLDERS & VISITORS – Wear your team colours and join the fun! They’ll have tastings, giveaways, and plenty of market goodies to enjoy.
As a Pre-Event activity they are offering the following activity a week earlier (unfortunately not on the above day)
Guernsey Cookie Decorating Workshop – Sunday 6 April 2025 (10am – 11am)
To get into the spirit of Gather Round AFL Footy Festival, the market is running a workshop for kids where they can decorate their own Guernsey Shaped Cookie in their favourite sport team colours using edible paint markers.
Limited spots are available, so get in early. The workshop is FREE for kids (donations welcome) and will take place between in the Market Pavilion at the Eastern end. No bookings required but adult supervision is essential.
Note: As this is a registered Children’s University activity they can stamp student passports on the day upon request.
The Market is on every Sunday from 8:30am – 12:30pm with the best local produce, breakfast options, and family fun.
