LIV Golf is back at Grange for 2025 and is full of family-friendly activities and entertainment.
Review by Carla Caruso & Adaire Prosser
Back at the Grange Golf Course from 14 to 16 February, LIV Golf has it all for golf lovers with day and afternoon entertainment, food and drink options and golf merchandise. LIV Golf is certainly known for its fun & lively atmosphere, but it also caters to the whole family with attractions and facilities to suit everyone including a Kids Kingdom. Kids can enter LIV Golf for free (one child per one adult ticket) and the Kids Kingdom is filled with free activities.
If you are heading to LIV Golf with the family, here are some things to do & handy tips:
Getting there
There are a few options to get to the Grange golf course including bus, train, taxi and ride share. We opted for the park and ride option and used the car park at the Adelaide 36’s arena which had been designated for use for the event. There were plenty of parks on the Friday afternoon, and there were buses running every 15-30 minutes so we didn’t have to wait long. There were plenty of seats at this time, and we were also able to take our collapsible stroller with lots of room. We also used this option when leaving, and although we left at a fairly busy time, we got on a bus within 5 minutes of leaving the gates.
At the Event
Checking into the event was straightforward. There were no lines on the Friday afternoon and we checked our QR codes and received wristbands. Our day bag was checked – we were allowed to bring in snacks and plastic reusable drink bottles. Metal drink bottles are not permitted however.
From entrance D from the park and ride, it is a bit of a walk across the golf course to the main areas and family friendly section. Most of the walk was easy going, but there were patches of soft sand between some of the holes which made it difficult with the pram. Once at the main sections it was easier for the pram and there was plenty of room for prams as well.
Kids Kingdom – FREE WITH ENTRY
On the Friday afternoon, we made our way straight to Kids Kingdom in the Family Fun Zone. It is located near food and drink vendors, shaded seating areas, bins and toilets so has been positioned well.
Kids Kingdom contains activities and entertainment for almost every age. We were so pleased to see that all the activities in the kids zone are included, free with entry.
There is a bubble station with wands to make bubbles of all shapes and sizes. They were long lasting and the kids loved the bubbles flying all over the area. There is also a nature play station for open ended play.
For the active kids, there is an inflatable slide, rock climbing wall, and mini putt & driving net to practice.
There is an indoor sensory station set up which is an indoor quiet area with headphones and calming activities. There is also an indoor science-inspired play area with sensory play tables, chalk boards, marble runs and STEM-inspired demonstrations. In this area you’ll also find a Nintendo Switch gaming station and some drawing tables.
Across the Kids Kingdom, helpful staff are on hand to assist with activities. There was so much to keep the kids entertained here, that we had to bribe them away with a sweet treat when it was time to go!
Amenities
Bathroom facilities are located in many areas around the event site and there is a bathroom section near the Kids Kingdom for convenience. For little ones, we were pleased to see a number of family rooms that had areas for feeding & changing and amenities for preparing bottles or warming food.
There are a number of sunscreen stations across the event where you can reapply sun protection and are provided with samples to take with you.
A number of water refill stations are also located across the course to fill up reusable water bottles.
Food & Drink
There are so many options located across the golf course. The largest variety of options we found was at the Family Hub which had a number of food and drink vendors with a large amount of seating located in the middle. There was also plenty of tents and umbrellas over the seating for shade.
While you’re spectating the golfing action there are vendors located at some of the fairways so that you are never far from something to eat or drink.
Entertainment
If you’re looking to relax for a while, live music and entertainment is a great way to take a break from the action. Located at the Family Hub, it is perfectly situated amongst the food vendors and shaded seating.
