The Children’s Book Review

THINK! Book Set

What to Expect: Educational, Interactive, Foundational, Mathematical, and Conceptual.

The THINK! book set will excite children to embrace basic learning concepts. Each book cleverly disguises educational fundamentals within interactive play experiences that naturally capture young minds.

The series shines in its creative approach to fundamental concepts. Picture a child discovering that numbers aren’t just symbols but cookies they can count and sort. Imagine shapes jumping off the page to become treasure-hunting tools around the house—this is the magic of the THINK! series, transforming abstract learning into tangible discovery.

In Cookie Clap!, counting becomes a multi-sensory experience as children clap rhythmically and handle real cookies that tumble from the book’s final pages. It’s the Color Train! doesn’t just show colors—it unfolds into a working train where children sort colorful food items into matching cargo cars. Shapes are Everywhere breaks free from traditional shape recognition by providing frames that turn everyday environments into geometric adventures. Tap! Tap! Tidy Up! pairs counting with cleaning, making both activities more engaging with its included cardboard feather duster. Kick It! brings opposites to life through the dynamic movement of an attached soccer ball, perfect for kinesthetic learners.

Each volume builds multiple skills simultaneously. While children think they’re just playing with cookies or pushing a soccer ball, they’re actually developing fine motor skills, practicing number recognition, understanding spatial relationships, and building vocabulary. The physical elements aren’t just gimmicks—they’re carefully designed tools that help make learning stick.

The series stands out for its ability to grow with children. A two-year-old might simply enjoy moving pieces and identifying colors, while a four-year-old can engage with more complex counting and sorting activities. This adaptability makes the books valuable long-term additions to any child’s library. Each book also includes specialized literacy tip cards—a valuable resource that empowers parents and caregivers to enrich the reading experience. These cards offer practical suggestions for extending concepts beyond story time, turning everyday moments into natural learning opportunities.

For parents, teachers, and caregivers seeking to make foundational learning effective and enjoyable, the THINK! series offers a fresh approach that respects how young children naturally learn—through play, movement, and hands-on discovery. Through thoughtful design and engaging mechanics, the series transforms early learning from a task into an adventure!

About the Author/Illustrator: Kyung Min

“My hope is that we bring smiles to kids’ faces while they’re reading our books.”

A graduate of the University of the Arts with a degree in illustration and design, Kyung’s career originally took him into Product Design. As a Director of Product Design, he led his team’s creative vision and established the standard of output through mentoring, coaching, and problem-solving.

Amidst this amazing work, though, he always knew that he was an illustrator at heart and dreamed of one day illustrating and publishing a book of his own. His desire to chase that dream grew ever stronger after having two lovely daughters he read to every day, and that dream has finally manifested with the development of Zoybooks!

Now, Kyung works as the ambitious and fearless leader of Zoybooks. His previous experiences make him an ideal leader and problem solver, and he strives to create books that children can learn from, engage with, and enjoy. Not only that, but he is passionate about making reading time fun and easy for parents, too, pairing each book with suggested guidance and activities!

About the Author/Illustrator: Melody Yoo

“Learning and play should always be together.”

Melody is a former elementary school teacher (8+ years in K-2) with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (UD Honors) and a master’s degree in Reading & Literacy (Johns Hopkins). Her job as an illustrator and collaborator at Zoybooks combines two of her greatest loves: art and education! She loves being able to use her teaching experience and knowledge of literacy & child development to help create reading experiences that are more engaging, playful, and interactive than the typical read aloud.

With a love of all things picture books and cartoons herself, Melody hopes to create charming books, characters, and stories that kids and adults with both love! She believes that play empowers both learning and relationship-building.
