French-Cameroonian journalist Charles Onana and his publisher have been convicted by the Paris Criminal Court of denying the genocide against the Tutsis in Rwanda. Survivors’ associations had lodged a complaint denouncing negationist passages in one of his books, published in 2019. Charles Onana rejected these accusations during his trial. He intends to appeal.
