Gather your family, friends and four-legged companions for a day of fun, food, and entertainment at the Prospect Spring Fair.
The Prospect Spring Fair is back and better than ever, returning to Broadview Oval/Yarnta Tutu yarta on Saturday 26 October 2024 from 10am to 3pm. Whether you’re a thrill-seeker, animal lover, or simply looking for a fun day out, this year’s fair promises something for everyone.
Who will be crowned the fastest sausage dog in the north for 2024? The ever-popular Mini-Dachshund race is back to thrill crowds with its hilarious and heart-pounding action. Last year’s event had 40 sausage dogs battling it out for the title! (see how to register below)
Enjoy a variety of live entertainment and community performances, get up close and personal with adorable animals at the petting farm and nursery, keep the kids busy with amusement rides, sideshow games, face-painting, arts and crafts workshops, and explore vibrant adult and youth market stalls filled with delicious food, drink and unique crafts.

The Prospect Spring Fair will feature:
- Amusements rides including Sizzler, Whacky Shack, Giant Slide, Teacups & Sideshow Games.
- Live music performances by The Drops (Blackfriars Priory School band), Lucas Day, The Band of the SA Police – Radio 5, Adelaide Afrobeat Collective and Malibu Drive.
- Community performances by Zumba with Cindy + more to be announced.
- The Running of the Sausages a.k.a. Dachshund Mini Dash.
- Flyball (dog racing) by Para District Obedience Dog Club and Dover Gardens Kennel & Obedience Dog Club.
- Community stalls including Prospect Local Environment Group (PLEG), Prospect Girl Guides, Prospect Local History Group and more.
- Artisan and market stalls including hand-made and artisan wares, jewellery, doggy products, giftware, woodworks, crafts and more.
- Youth Market stalls – supporting our young entrepreneurs under 25 by offering a platform to sell their home-made items, build their budding business experience and engage with the community.
- Delicious food, drink and dessert vendors.
- Come & Try Area including local sports groups Broadview Football Club, North Adelaide Croquet Club and Broadview Tennis Club.
- SA Metropolitan Fire Service will be bringing one of their big red fire trucks for wannabe firefighters to explore and educate on fire safety.
- Wellness Sanctuary – take a moment to relax.

Calling all Dachshund owners! It’s time to get your pups ready for the ultimate race to glory at the Dachshund Mini Dash at this year’s Prospect Spring Fair. This is your chance to showcase your four-legged sprinter’s skills, win paw-some prizes, and be part of an unforgettable day of doggy delight. Don’t miss out – spots are limited!
