It’s dazzling, it’s delightful, it’s a spectacle for (all) the ages! Archie Brothers Cirque Elecriq in Adelaide is a real prize for your eyes.

Arcade games, claw machines, bumper cars … these are a few of my boys’ favourite things!
You can find all of them in the one place at Archie Brothers Cirque Electriq – part of Funlab’s entertainment and dining precinct in Rundle Place.
Archie Brothers Cirque Elecriq has been dubbed “a kaleidoscopic circus of cocktails, arcade and ticket games that give old fun a new life”.
The entertainment destination, which opened in November 2023, sits between two other Funlab venues – Hijinx Hotel (which has fun-looking challenge rooms) – and Strike Bowling.
During my visit with my ten-year-old twins (and their mate), I bought them all game cards. These range in price from $35 to $100 and give you access to all the arcade games, as well as the dodgems.
There are also options to buy ‘fun bundles’, where you can do the arcade games plus bowling (or just do the bowling, karaoke, Thrillrider VR experience, or the challenge rooms next door).
My kids had fun with a capital F, shooting hoops on the basketball machines, going neck-and-neck on the Mario Kart XD Racer, enjoying the retro air-hockey and dance machines, and running wild on the arcade games and claw machines (even scoring a plushie).
The ‘redemption shop’ is where you can cash in any tickets you’ve won and take home prizes, from Stars Wars memorabilia to board games. The youngsters will also likely be tempted by all the sweets and lollies on offer. As well, you can jump into a photo booth to print out some memories from your visit.
After having fun with the games, it was time for a spin on the dodgems. All the cars are two-seaters. Kids need to be 135cm+ to drive. Younger ones, between 80cm and 135cm in height, can go in the passenger seat while the adults take the wheel. Kids 80cm and below cannot ride.
Following this, we headed to its ‘circus bar’ for a bite. The dining area serves up crazy cocktails (and mocktails), shakes, and bar snacks. Think pizzas (hot honey salami pizza, anyone?), fries and wedges, cauliflower bites, choc-tops, and more.
Archie’s also does private parties.
If it’s rainy (or too hot) outdoors, this is a colourful, fun place to escape with the kids. As it says on its website: “There’s no place on earth like Archie’s!”

- Great place to escape when looking for some indoor fun
- Good, old-fashioned fun with some retro games
- Lots of bright colours, sweet treats, and prizes to win
- Plenty of different entertainment options to try

This type of venue can be a sensory overload for some people.

You can eat and drink at the circus bar on-site. The entertainment venue is also handily located within Rundle Place, which has its own food court.

Open Monday to Thursday 12pm – 10pm, Friday 12pm to midnight, Saturday 10am to midnight, and Sunday 10am to 10pm (hours can differ in the school holidays).
Under-18s are allowed in the venue until 10pm, from Sunday to Thursday, and until 8pm on Friday and Saturday.
