The Democratic Republic of Congo has threatened Apple with legal action. Its lawyers accuse the tech giant of buying minerals smuggled from eastern Congo – from mines where human rights are violated by rebels – into neighbouring Rwanda. DR Congo’s government is questioning Apple about its knowledge of what it’s calling “blood minerals”.
