Touch a Truck is a FREE school holiday event where kids can get up close and personal with their favourite trucks, heavy machinery and all things motor to see how they work.
The event will be held at Civic Park, Modbury and feature City of Tea Tree Gully vehicles, garbage trucks, emergency vehicles, historic cars and lots more for the kids to see and ‘touch’. Food vendors will be at the event to cater to lunch and snack needs. Parking is available in the Council and library car parks.
This is a free event and registration or tickets are not required.
Please note: Staff are unable to help children in/out of vehicles. It is the parent or caregiver’s responsibility to do so.
Quiet Hour:
‘Quiet Hour’ will be held from 10am-11am, with no horns or sirens. There may be a high number of attendees so expect there to still be excited small people, noise and high activity around the event site during quiet hour. A sensory tent will be available next to St Johns for the duration of the event, for those seeking a low-sensory space equipped with ear muffs and sensory toys.
