Pick Your Own Apples at Plummers Orchard in the Adelaide Hills.
The 2024 apple season has finally started so it’s the perfect time to take a drive into the Adelaide Hills and pick some beautifully sweet, crisp and crunchy Royal Gala apples fresh from the trees.
Apple picking is suitable for all ages and a great activity for families and kids to learn about where apples come from. The property is situated in Forest Range, a lovely part of the hills just 20kms from Adelaide.
Other apple varieties will be available as the season progresses.
Pick your own apples starts late February and will open most weekends through to mid May – follow their social media page below for updates.
Entry Fees:
- Adult Entry – $5
- Child Entry – $2
No bookings required. Take your own bag to collect the apples (or purchase one at the orchard).
Apple Prices:
Apples cost between $3.50/kg to $5/kg depending on how much you pick.
They also have some delicious home made jams, juice and dried fruit from local growers, plus iced cold soft drinks available.
There are complimentry picnic rugs to use to have a picnic while enjoying this beautiful 5th generation orchard. (Don’t forget to pack your own picnic!)

The property is easily accessible for visitors with parking close to the fruit, with limited walking.
About Plummers
Plummers have owned the land at Forest Range for 120 years and owners Ian Plummer and son Gavin are 4th descendant growers. The property grows 80 hectares (200 acres) of apples and 4 hectares (10 acres) of cherries.
