Experience authentic Asian street food and cultures in a tropical ambience right in the heart of Adelaide at the Asia Street Food Festival.
Asia Street Food Festival is a four-day experience right in the heart of Adelaide that goes beyond just Asian food, but a proud celebration through authentic Asian culinary dishes and cultural performances, all set against the charming light of Hoi An lanterns and rustic Balinese huts.
With approximately 30 carefully selected vendors, the festival is bringing together street food that has been embraced and passed down through generations, traditions or family. Many of these cuisines don’t normally make their way into regular restaurant menus.
Each dish is cooked with love, narrating a unique story and inviting you to go on a wonderful adventure through Asia, buzzing with the aroma of flavourful spices and the joyful chatter of food enthusiasts.
Over four days in December, Tarntanya Wama/Pinky Flat on the bank of the Torrens transforms into a haven for Asian food enthusiasts, music lovers, or simply family and friends seeking a great time together, immersed in a whole new world of Asian cultural ambience.
What truly distinguishes Asia Street Food Festival is the ambience, surrounded by the soft glow of Hoi An lanterns and the rustic charm of Balinese Huts. It’s an immersive experience that transports you to a nostalgic village setting, offering respite from the daily grind and a chance to slow down, and connect with yourself and the community around you.
Asian cuisine is celebrated worldwide for its bold and diverse flavours. Each region infuses its own unique twist, using fresh herbs and distinctive spices to craft dishes that tell stories of tradition and innovation.
Asia Street Food Festival brings this diverse celebration of Asian flavours and cultures to your doorstep, allowing you to explore an authentic experience and connection without leaving Adelaide.
While the food undoubtedly takes the centre stage, Asia Street Food Festival boasts a diverse lineup of local bands and performers, including Adelindo Aungklung, Respire Dance, Overseas Chinese Association Art Troupe, ABK Crew, Goonj, Adelaide Art Group and many more. It’s a celebration of culture in its most authentic form, a feast for your senses, and an invitation to immerse yourself fully in the moment.
