Semaphore Train Back is at the Beach!
Take a scenic steam train ride by the beach at Semaphore. Great value and a fantastic family outing.
Steam trains will depart between 11am and 4pm, roughly every hour or at frequencies varied according to demand.
The Semaphore to Fort Glanville train departs from the foot of the jetty at the end of the popular Semaphore Road cafe strip, and runs parallel to the Esplanade and the sand dunes of one of Adelaide’s most popular swimming beaches, before passing through the dunes near historic Fort Glanville at Point Malcolm.
The railway operates:
- Every Sunday & Public Holiday from October to April (inclusive)
- Daily during school holidays in October and April, except Tuesdays and Thursdays
- Daily from 26 December to the end of January school holidays
- Steam trains will depart between 11am and 4pm, roughly every hour or at frequencies varied according to demand.
This fantastic train ride is very popular with children of all ages, along with parents, grand-parents and carers.
Tickets:
- Adult – $10
- Child (3-15yrs) – $5
- Under 3 years – no charge
- Group/Family (up to 4 people max, with one being a child) – $27
Tickets (EFTPOS only) can be purchased on board the train..
