The main political opposition in Gabon is calling on the junta to hand power back to civilians. The moves comes after military officers took control in a coup after the country’s president secured a third term in office in contested elections. The coup leader meanwhile is set to be sworn into office on Monday. For now little has been said about the junta’s plans after the Bongo family’s rule came to an end. Indira Ayuk, regional correspondent, tells us more from Yaounde, Cameroon.
