The death toll from Sudan’s three month war has now topped 2000 and even that may be a conservative estimate of the conflict between the head of the army and the leader of the RSF paramilitary that’s torn the ocuntry apart since mid April. Thursday also saw the assasination of the governor of West Darfur state just hours after he spoke out against the RSF and allied arab militia accusing them of genocidal violence.
