In Sudan, once again, a planned ceasefire has failed to materialise with heavy fighting reported today in the capital Khartum and the nearby city of Bahri. The seven-day truce was supposed to come into effect this morning. As the clashes continue, the United Nations is pushing for safe passage for civillians and for aid to be allowed in. That though is proving a significant challenge. FRANCE 24’s regional correspondent Bastien Renouil reports from Nairobi.
