New Paradise Recreation Plaza – Current Paradise Skate Park Closed
Transformation of the Paradise Skate Park into the brand new Paradise Recreation Plaza commenced in April 2023.
The existing Paradise Skate Park closed on Thursday 27 April 2023 to allow construction to begin on the new Paradise Recreation Plaza. Works are expected to be completed by the end of 2023.
The Campbelltown City Council has undergone community consultation to plan a 2-2.5 million dollar redevelopment of the Paradise Skate Park to create a Recreation Plaza that caters to all skill levels and creates a unique, family-friendly destination.
Design aspects include:
- Local proximity to River Torrens, link to Linear Park Bikeway
- Natural outlook and character
- Cater for a diversity of age groups
- Cater for a large range of activities
- Make the place a destination
- Create a natural theme to provide a relationship to river environment
