Over 1,200 children’s toys were collected by the Parish-Community of the Resurrection of Christ, in Kogarah, Sydney, on the occasion of the festive period of Christmas.
The toys were donated to various pediatric clinics in Sydney, including Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, St. George Hospital Children’s Ward, and Ronald McDonald House, Randwick. Also, toys and games were given to St. George School for children with special needs and to various charitable organizations that take care of the needs of our fellow homeless people.
It is particularly moving that our local community embraced and wholeheartedly supported this effort of the Parish – Community of Kogarah.
The Parish-Community of the Resurrection of Christ, in Kogarah, would like to wholeheartedly thank all those who responded and offered toys, including the “Pontoxeniteas” Association of Sydney, the Pan-Macedonian Association of Sydney, the Pan-Thessalian Association “O Karaiskakis”, donors such as the Koutsougeras Family, but also the wonderful students of the Greek schools of the Parish.
