Gonzales Mayor Steve Sucher — a “Santa” at heart — made a grand entrance at the Legacy Ranch Kids children’s party hosted and sponsored by Debbie and Steve Marshall, friends and family!
Santa arrived with a billowing “Ho! Ho! Ho!” and jingle bells too! The children ran to greet him as they escorted Santa and Mrs. Claus to their seats by the Christmas tree.
Santa had a patient ear as he listened to what the children wanted this year. There were hundreds of toys to choose from for all ages.
The children and staff enjoyed food catered by The Farmers Daughter of Gonzales and Community Health Centers of South Central Texas, hot chocolate by Judah’s Java Cafe’ of Luling and an assortment of desserts hand made with love. A special treat by Daya’s Snow Cone was a hit!
Santa was in the company of many princesses who came to celebrate the Christmas spirt with the children, provided by Perfect Parties by Lucinda, San Antonio.
The party included arts and crafts tables, coloring and paint stations, and games such as pin the nose on the Snowman. Other festivities included a magic show presented by Bobby Cordell Magical Entertainment; face painting; balloon twisting; a bubble show; a bounce house; popcorn by Fred Ward; and a performance by Tony the Clown, which helped make this event a memorable Christmas celebration for the children.
Additional sponsors included Victoria College; JL Gray employees; Sandra Michna and Mike Kobala in memory of Stephen; Ann Hicks and family; EncapSulite; Karen and Rob Blakeley; Olivia Seifert; Lux Texas Realty Group; Body’s by Arden; St. Vincent De Paul Society; Lotus Solutions; and Bastrop Community Senior Center. A good time was had by all.
