The three days show which commenced Tuesday, November 29, saw thousands of visitors witnessing marketing strategy from beauty experts across the globe.

Reacting to this, show organisers, BtoB Events represented by Managing Director, Jamie Hill, described the event opener as a tip of the iceberg, strtessing that he can’t wait to see more exhibitors parade their products. He however hinted some exhibitors are suffering setback due to the economic situation of the country exacerbated by the lingering COVID-19 pandemic.

‘Although the event is just opening and I’m happy with the turn out. We have our record number of exhibitors and I’m proud to say Nigerian exhibitors have shown more passion towards this and we are doing our best to make sure they feel good promoting Made in Nigeria brands and to promote good exportations from Nigeria to other country.

“ With this, we are now officially the largest professional beauty exhibitors across the Africa continent and that makes me very proud.

‘From an exhibitor point of view I’m very pleased with the turnout which saw us occupy all halls in the venue for the first time. And as I said, we have a record number of visitors we are expecting and I hope they all come along to visit. It is free if they have registered and If they haven’t, it is just a token sum of one thousand naira.

‘And as you can also see, we have over two hundred exhibitors showcasing their cosmetics, hair and the rest. There is a lot going on in there and I hope more people will be able to come around.

‘Although it was difficult setting up a show of this magnitude due to the economic situation of countries across the world, its obvious after the pandemic, that the world has changed quiet a lot. Economic conditions are critical and things are very expensive. But I can assure you this will be a fantastic opportunity for buyers and sellers to come together and drive the market and industry forward.

‘Last month, some of our partners here in Nigeria made us realise the value of beauty market now worth over one trillion naira and that shows it’s a huge industry. I just hope the people can come together to share knowledge on way forward so that the economy can move to where it should be.

‘We also have other big plans in the offing but the demand of exhibitors will inspire us to do so in few months to come,’ he opined.

Meanwhile, several product manager such as Feroze Khan of Ahmed Al Maghribi Perfumes, Nadeem Akhtar of COSMOPRO, Bielenda’s Karolina Biernacka and president, Practitioner of Beauty Association of Nigeria, Dr, Mary Charles all applauded the organiser.
