Felix Jones has a fascinating story to tell. The only Irishman in possession of a Rugby World Cup winner’s medal, he occupies a unique position in the international coaching world: the Springboks’ attack coach when they are in camp, head of operations in Europe when they are out of it. He is still only 35.

Judging by the testimony of the players themselves, Jones is respected for his sharp-eyed analysis of opposing teams, for his technical insights and communication skills. It surely helps that he is young enough to have played against several present Springboks, having made a brief appearance against them for Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in 2014.
